Forms are cement sculptures created from scavenged styrofoam packaging of consumer goods. After casting these industrialized shapes, I physically break apart the molds and castings, reassembling them back into abstraction. These forms are bonded together and colorfully painted into something grotesquely familiar, yet commonly strange. I am working with these pieces to create a conversation around the physical and physiological weight our decisions hold in modern day consumption of material goods. Paradoxically, these objects work to subvert, to make forms appear beautiful, when what they depict is far from beauty.
